Assembled: In Actions of Doing is a new collaboration between Isabel and Lina Buck. Derived through an ongoing dialogue between two very diverse practices, the work investigates realisations of ‘function’, how this can be challenged, and, at times re-interpreted.

The works utilises architectural objects as devices a new context, altering their functionality and forming a juxtaposition between the preconceived purpose of the device and its new occupation. Investigating the individual’s interaction with such devices by making work through a process of opposing and re-interpreting.

A collaborative project that brings together sculptural installation with an experimental performance practice, presenting a unique approach to philosophies of function, architecture and the performed action within the everyday.

Developed in collaboration with Isabel Buck

Exhibited at KINGS ARI, 2019.
